Workshop Participation Terms

By attending an East 27 Creative LLC or East 27 Creative Adventures workshop, tour, event, or experience (collectively referred to as “workshop”), you acknowledge and accept certain risks. Participation in a workshop and its related activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to injury, illness, death, loss, or damage to personal property due to acts of nature, environmental conditions, or the actions of others.

By registering for a workshop, you agree to assume all such risks and release East 27 Creative LLC, East 27 Creative Adventures, its officers, agents, employees, partners, sponsors, subcontractors, and affiliates from all claims of loss, injury, liability, or damages arising from your participation. You acknowledge that travel to remote, foreign, or less-developed areas may involve additional risks such as natural disasters, extreme weather, terrorism, wild animals, substandard lodging, poor road conditions, and other unforeseen hazards. You assume responsibility for these risks.

You acknowledge that medical services and facilities may not be readily available during all or part of the workshop, including medical care, physicians, and medications. East 27 Creative LLC assumes no liability for medical treatment or dietary requirements.

You are responsible for:

• Reviewing all pre-trip materials.
• Bringing appropriate equipment, clothing, and personal items.
• Following guidelines on conduct and dress.
• Behaving respectfully toward fellow participants, guides, and local communities.

We reserve the right to cancel any activity or reject any individual from participation. The workshop leader’s judgment is final in determining a participant’s ability to continue.

You acknowledge that group travel involves compromise to accommodate diverse interests, travel goals, personalities, and physical abilities. Changes to itineraries may occur due to external factors, including geographic, governmental, or weather-related restrictions. There will be no discounts or refunds for changes beyond our control.

By registering, you certify that you are physically and mentally able to participate and assume full responsibility for selecting an activity suitable to your abilities. We reserve the right to request a doctor’s statement of good health.

By accepting these terms, you release and hold harmless East 27 Creative LLC and its affiliates from any claims, actions, or demands of any kind related to your participation.

This agreement constitutes the full understanding between you and East 27 Creative LLC regarding workshop participation. Your registration and payment signify acceptance of these terms.

Deposits are non-refundable but may be transferred to another East 27 Creative LLC workshop or photo shoot within 24 months under the following conditions:

• If we fill your canceled spot: Refund of all fees paid, minus the deposit and a $150 processing fee.
• If we cannot fill your spot:
• 120+ days before start date: 100% refund of fees paid (excluding deposit & $150 processing fee). Deposit transferable for up to 24 months.
• 90–120 days before start date: 50% refund of fees paid (excluding deposit & $150 processing fee). Deposit is forfeited.
• Less than 90 days before start date: No refunds.

All cancellations must be made in writing. Refunds will be issued using the original payment method.

Private workshops: Payments for custom workshops are non-refundable.

Some workshops may be explicitly marked as non-refundable. These terms will be clearly stated on the workshop webpage.

Participants are responsible for ensuring they comply with all customs regulations and requirements of the countries they visit during the workshop. This includes, but is not limited to, declarations of goods, restricted or prohibited items, and any applicable duties or taxes. East 27 Creative LLC (East 27 Creative Adventures) is not responsible for any customs violations, fines, delays, or legal consequences incurred due to a participant’s failure to adhere to these regulations. Any costs associated with customs issues, including penalties, legal fees, or additional travel expenses, are the participant’s sole responsibility.

While East 27 Creative LLC will make every effort to operate as advertised, we reserve the right to cancel or modify a workshop due to insufficient bookings or external factors beyond our control. If a workshop is canceled, a full refund will be issued. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the workshop and does not extend to travel costs such as airfare, visas, accommodations, equipment, or other associated expenses.

For international workshops, tuition may be adjusted based on currency fluctuations

Any disputes related to your participation, these terms, or the enforcement of this agreement shall be resolved through binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association. You waive your right to a trial by judge or jury. Any arbitration award may be entered as a judgment in a court of competent jurisdiction. East 27 Creative LLC is based in Suffolk County, New York

If you prefer not to be featured in promotional materials, please inform the workshop leader at the start of the event. We respect your privacy and will accommodate your request accordingly.

Our Director of Experience and/or Travel Advisor will guide you on the documentation needed for your workshop. 

Participants are solely responsible for securing all necessary travel documents, including valid passports and applicable visas, prior to the workshop’s commencement. It is crucial to verify the specific entry requirements for your workshop and any other destinations on your itinerary.  Failure to obtain the required documents may result in denied entry, and East 27 Creative LLC cannot be held liable for any disruptions caused by incomplete documentation.
